Make sure your dog is vaccinated.

Many kennels need dogs to be up-to-date on their vaccinations, such as distemper and rabies. Some also need a bordetella shot to prevent the spread of a kennel cough. Consult your dog’s veterinarian for any due shots no later than two weeks before his/her boarding time. Go through all of the required paperwork from the kennel, and fill everything. Make sure you add contact information, so the enclosure can reach you if any issues or concerns come up. Write out feeding instructions for the kennel if required, such as if your dog is on a super special diet.

Stay calm when dropping your dog off.

Instead, stay completely calm and happy while dropping your dog off at the luxury boarding kennel and saying goodbye. This can help your pup feel more comfortable while being in different surroundings.
